St. Paul residents can host a block party on most residential streets, with a free block party permit. Learn more here.


Play Streets

 

Enjoy block parties? Have lots of kids on your street? Consider starting a "Play Street" in your neighborhood by hosting recurring block parties create a space for neighbors to gather and for kids to play together safely on a regular basis.

Play Streets are a great way for kids and adults to meet new neighbors and make community connections.

Thanks to neighborhood support, we successfully asked the city to make the block party permit process easier.

 

Now we are working to find more ways to make it cheaper and easier for all neighbors in St. Paul to have access to the streets in their own neighborhoods.
